Methadone Detox Program
Methadone belongs to the opioid family of drugs and is most commonly used as a pain reliever and in the pharmaceutical treatment of opiate addiction. Although methadone is used for the medical management of opiate addiction, it also holds its own potential for abuse and addiction.
Without treatment, Individuals with methadone dependence demonstrate opiate withdrawal symptoms such as Irritability, agitation, heightened anxiety, muscle aches, nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, chills and insomnia. Individuals who may be struggling with methadone dependence or addiction are strongly advised to seek professional treatment.
